VIDPT’S BACKSTORY

Hi, my name is Michael Bise and I am the founder of VidPT (Vid= video + PT = physical therapy). I love helping fellow athlete’s combat pain and resume the activities they love.

In general, I am not claiming to be a physical therapy guru that has all the answers. Rather, I am an ex-athlete that has been executing physical therapy exercises for over 25 years after completely tearing my ACL and partially tearing my medical collateral ligament (MCL) at the age of twelve.

I have personally undergone three major reconstructive surgeries and over the years I have done a lot of physical rehabilitation. Consequently, I have learned first-hand what works well and what does not. Additionally, I continually test and try new exercises and routines.

I have been incredibly fortunate to meet and work with some amazing physical therapists and wellness professionals. I have also met some practitioners that are less than stellar. I understand and have experienced the impact that small exercise adjustments can have on one’s recovery and I desire to pass along some of the finer points of physical therapy so that you can get back doing the activities that you love, again!!

A few of my personal rehab missions:

  • Permanent damage to C4, C5, and C6. Also tore my superficial fascia. [Perform daily exercises and stretches to combat pain and move more readily.]
  • ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair
  • Ankle reconstruction
  • Ulnar nerve transposition
  • IT Band Syndrome
  • Plantar Fasciitis
